Today we have celebrated Harvest with our youngest pupils in the EYFS. The preparations began earlier in the week with Mr Bond and Foundation Stage harvesting some goodies from our school allotment, this included some delicious crunchy carrots. Mr Bond then worked with the children to make these into carrot cake cupcakes to take over to share with our friends in church. Mrs Smith and Mr Bond took the children to church to sing in the Wednesday service then stay and share their carrot cupcakes. Back in school everyone was busy delivering the harvest gifts the children in the foundation stage brought to local houses and care homes, hopefully bringing some sunshine to someone’s day! This afternoon we were in for a treat as our youngest children from nursery and reception performed ‘Little Black Cloud’ their harvest performance. We were all amazed by their singing and acting skills especially the little black cloud. Thank you to our friends in church for inviting us to sing, thank you to all our families for their generous harvest donations and thank you to all the staff and children for a wonderful performance this afternoon!
