School Development Plan
We are always striving to maintain high standards and continue to improve. Each year we celebrate the success and achievement of the school and evaluate what went well. Our school development plan is an annual document which identifies key targets to ensure the school continues to improve. Priorities are identified after rigorous self evaluation and are based around evidence informed research and practice. Progress towards the milestones set are closely tracked by leaders and external advisers through in school monitoring.
Our subject leaders lead on key areas of the curriculum and are responsible for planning development in their subject. Subject development plans also closely link to whole school development planning.
Key strategic priorities for 2026-2027:
- Writing – To further refine the teaching and assessment of the new writing structure to ensure all children are accurate in the foundational knowledge of writing (handwriting, spelling, punctuation, grammar).
- Teaching – To ensure that leaders are confidently delivering high-quality instructional coaching that focuses on improving teaching over time.
- Mathematics – To further improve outcomes in mathematics through the consistent implementation of a carefully sequenced curriculum, adaptive teaching and accurate formative assessment, to ensure that all children are gaining strong foundational knowledge in maths.
- EYFS Communication- To use an assessment tool to assess children’s communication (SALT) and to plan and deliver high quality targeted interventions to support children in the EYFS with delayed development.
