Temporary SEND Teaching Assistant
Required as soon as possible (up to 31st August 2025 with the possibility of extending this further)
27.5 hrs per week Mon – Fri 8.30am – 3.15pm (Part time also considered)
We are looking to make an appointment of a Temporary SEND Teaching Assistant to support a pupil/s with complex SEND. The successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic, skilful, caring, compassionate and patient. They must be dedicated to providing the highest possible care and support. We are keen to appoint someone who has the necessary knowledge to support pupils with delayed social, communication and interaction skills including pupils on the Autistic spectrum and the associated behaviours. The successful candidate will need to work closely with the class teacher, our SENDCO (Mrs Bellis), outside agencies and the child’s family. They will need to be highly professional, supportive, confidential and committed to safeguarding. They will need to value the importance of high-quality play, including sensory play and effective adult and child interactions. The successful candidate will need to be committed to, understand and value the importance of early communication skills and how this underpins all aspects of a child’s development.
All SEND TA’s could work across a range of children throughout the school.
