Learning Mentor

Mrs Sarah Ballance is our Learning Mentor.

She plays a vital and active role within our school working closely alongside staff, pupils, parents and other agencies. She offers support and guidance for families and pupils in order to help to overcome barriers to well-being, learning and progress. She is an important point of contact for our young pupils and their families, offering confidential support and advice during challenging times for families and young children, such as job loss, divorce, bereavement.

Mrs Ballance is our attendance officer. She closely monitors the attendance of all our pupils. Please telephone the school by 9.15am if your child is unable to attend school that day and tell us the reason. Mrs Ballance works closely with our Education Welfare Officer (EWO) who regularly checks our registers and individual attendance records. Mrs Ballance can provide help and advice regarding attendance and punctuality so please call in and have a chat.
