On Monday our Year 2 learners had the very special opportunity to compare and contrast two local places of worship.  We started the day at Wakefield Cathedral and explored how it was a special place for people of the Christian faith.  We took part in lots of activities around the Cathedral for example drawing our own stained glass windows and becoming bell ringers.  We left the Cathedral at lunchtime to visit the Makkah Masjid Mosque in Leeds.  We had a fantastic tour of the Mosque and explored how it was a special place for people of the Islamic faith.  We looked at Muslim dress from around the world and even had the chance to try some celebration outfits on!

What a wonderful day! A huge well done to all the children for their impeccable, respectful behaviour throughout the visit, you were a credit to our school.
